Summary
On 13 and 14 November 2020, Silverstone Auctions organized the NEC Classic Live Online Auction with over 150 vehicles. On average, the cars were relatively young at just under 35 years old and were valued at almost £11 million in total. 77 percent of the lots were sold, although only five percent were called without a limit. There were some surprises, but also negative ones, as an interesting collection of Group B cars failed to attract high enough bids. This report analyzes the results of the auction and shows many of the cars on offer in pictures.

Preview (beginning of the article)
Great Britain is also struggling with Corona in autumn 2020, which did not prevent Silverstone Auctions from organizing a successful auction in "live online" format under the label "NEC Classic". 151 vehicles went under the hammer, estimated at £10.9 million in total. On average, the vehicles, including two motorcycles, were almost 35 years old, which is rather young compared to other events. 77% of all vehicles were sold, with an average price of £66,724. The average bid was 92% of the median estimate. These indicators show that Porsche led the brand statistics, accounting for 1/5 of the vehicles, followed by Ford (9.9%), Mercedes-Benz (7.9%) and Ferrari (6.6%).
