If the value per vehicle at an auction is USD 1.15 million, but the lots also include a motorcycle with an estimate of USD 40,000 to 60,000, then you can assume that the goods must otherwise be of a very high caliber. This was certainly the case on December 8, 2023 in New York, when RM/Sotheby's swung the hammer over 16 cars and the two-wheeler in question, a Ducati Desmosedici D16RR from 2018. A turnover of USD 13.56 million was achieved, 13 of the 17 vehicles, i.e. 76%, were sold for an average of USD 1,043,246. Two white Lamborghini Countach "Anniversary Edition" cars were used in the movie "The Wolf of Wall Street". One was famously severely deformed, while the other served as an undamaged specimen. While the "accident car" was offered by Bonhams in Abu Dhabi, RM/Sotheby's in New York auctioned off the other movie car, which had survived the filming unscathed.
