Summary
117 vehicles, including four motorcycles, two boats and an airplane, went under the hammer at RM/Sotheby's in Miami on March 1 and 2, 2024. While the very old and very young vehicles did not quite meet expectations, others sold well, resulting in a sales rate of 80%. There were a few surprises, including a very expensive Ferrari 612 and two AMG-Mercedes-Benz that outperformed their estimates. This auction review analyzes the results and shows all the vehicles in the picture.

Preview (beginning of the article)
The historic Bitmore Hotel in Coral Gables was the venue for RM/Sotheby's Miami auction on March 1 and 2, 2024. 117 vehicles, including four motorcycles, two boats and an airplane, went under the hammer alongside children's cars and a Ferrari engine test bench (sold for USD 60,000). The vehicles were driven outside, which was transmitted by video into the auction room. In total, the auctioned vehicles (three lots were withdrawn before the auction) were valued at USD 83.4 million, with each lot expected to fetch over USD 712,000. 52% of the vehicle lots were offered without a reserve price, meaning that the no-reserve portion was comparatively low by American standards.
