Fred Guyton was a talented architect and a great connoisseur of automobile development. His classic car collection, with a focus on pre-war vehicles, was well known far and wide. Guyton passed away in 2018, and on May 4 and 5, 2019, RM/Sotheby's auctioned his collection, which included many memorabilia as well as over 60 mostly rare automobiles, in St. Louis (MIssissippi, USA). Guyton had a preference for cars from the 1920s and 1930s, and the average age was correspondingly high at over 84 years. Only ten cars were from the post-war period, including two neo-classics, namely a 2005 Chevrolet SSR and a 2004 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet, both of which performed reasonably well.
