Preview (beginning of the article)
One day before the auction on April 29, 2017, the crew of the Oldtimer-Galerie was still almost shoveling snow in Toffen. Winter had arrived once again. But the next day there was hardly any sign of it, the sun was shining, trees and flowers were blooming - what a change in the weather! Reinhard Schmidlin was certainly happy about this, after all, there were over 40 convertibles on offer at the auction and, as we all know, they are more likely to find a buyer when the weather is nice. The catalog and a few late entries represented almost the entire spectrum of the classic and classic car hobby. On average, the two and four-wheelers on offer were 33 years old.
