America is always good for superlatives, so it comes as no surprise that the biggest car auction of all time took place in the USA. Mecum brought 4383 cars under the hammer at the Kissimmee Auction in Flordia from January 5 to 14, 2024, selling vehicles worth USD 275 million. This was the third year in a row that over 200 million was realized. And the fact that this happened on the occasion of the 25th edition honored the anniversary. It goes without saying that a large proportion of the cars on offer were of American origin. Whether Buick, Chevrolet, Dodge or Pontiac, they were widely represented. The average selling price was in the high five-figure range.
