Photo Gallery «Geneva Motor Show 1979 - Superlatives, turbo, diesel and a little electric»
The 49th Geneva Motor Show opened its doors to the general public from March 1 to 11, 1979. Over half a million visitors responded to the call and did not necessarily get to see a huge number of world firsts, but many interesting further developments and a large number of attractions that could not be seen every day. Among the highlights were the Mercedes-Benz C 111, the BMW M1, the VW Golf convertible and the 16-cylinder Sbarro Royale. This Salon report looks back to 1979 and shows the attractions in over 120 photos.
