From March 10 to 20, 1955, the 25th Geneva International Motor Show showed car enthusiasts what the automotive industry had to offer. 634 exhibitors from 14 countries presented innovations such as the Fiat 600 and European premieres such as the Mercedes-Benz 190 SL, alongside improved and updated models, special bodies and accessories. This Salon review describes vehicles and technical developments that were presented to the public in 1955 and shows on-site impressions in over 90 pictures.

From March 10 to 20, 1955, the 25th Geneva International Motor Show showed car enthusiasts what the automotive industry had to offer. For the anniversary show, the exhibition area was enlarged to 21,374 m2 and 634 exhibitors from 14 countries were expected. The number of visitors increased by around 12% compared to the previous year. In March 1955, hammering and chiseling continued until just a few minutes before the opening of the Salon in order to complete the additional hall in the adjacent barracks courtyard on time. Until the doors opened, new products and particularly attractive exhibits were concealed under cloths until they were allowed to emerge like shiny butterflies.
