"Wiesenthal moves.". The advertising slogan of the traditional Viennese Mercedes-Benz car dealer dynasty Wiesenthal can certainly also be applied to the in-house Mercedes collection: With the auction of 13 models, a cross-section of the post-war model history of Mercedes-Benz, interesting and sought-after vehicles from Sindelfingen came under the hammer at Dorotheum in the Camineum of the Austrian National Library in Vienna on December 1, 2018. The 13 cars were offered without a reserve price, representing a total value of around EUR 3.6 million according to estimates. However, the bidders went much further, with almost all cars outbidding the estimated prices, so that in the end (and after factoring in the surcharges/commissions) a total of almost EUR 5 million was raised.
