Preview (beginning of the article)
For the first time, Broad Arrow held its own auction in Amelia Island on March 7 and 8, 2025. On offer were 163 cars and two tractors with a total value of USD 80.94 million. 83 vehicles (50%) went under the hammer without a reserve price. Most of the vehicles were driven up and the auction was well attended on both days. 11% of the cars were from the pre-war period, 18% each from the post-war years (up to 1959) and the 1960s. The seventies accounted for 9%, the eighties 11% and the nineties 13%. 21% of the vehicles were built after 2000, which also had the lowest proportion of "no reserves", while the proportion of very old cars was the highest.
