With 42 automobiles, including a tractor, Bonhams had put together a small but fine selection of classics for October 5, 2018, which met an interested audience in Knokke-Heist on the occasion of the Zoute Grand Prix. On average, the cars were around 50 years old, with vintages ranging from 1930 to 2018. On average, a car was expected to cost around EUR 223,000 or CHF 251,000; in the end, the average price was EUR 225,512 or CHF 257,827. With 86 percent of the cars sold, the success rate was high; at 91 percent (hammer price compared to the average estimate), the highest bids usually exceeded the lower estimate.
