Summary
Bonhams stuck to the date for the Paris auction. On February 3, 2022, 111 cars, 17 motorcycles and some automobilia were auctioned off in front of an audience at the Grand Palais Éphémère. With a sales rate of 83 percent for the cars and a turnover of EUR 18.9 million, the auction went well, even if there were also many vehicles that sold well below expectations in addition to some large upward spikes. Sports cars from Aston Martin, a Bugatti EB 110 GT and some very old cars sold well. This auction review analyzes the results, lists all the highest bids and sales prices and shows all the vehicles in pictures.

Preview (beginning of the article)
In 2021, the Bonhams auction could not take place on its traditional date at the Grand Palais in Paris, but in 2022, the auction organizers from Great Britain stuck to the date of February 3 and the Grand Palais, even if it was a different Grand Palais, namely the one on Place Joffre not far from the Eiffel Tower, which is called "Grand Palais Éphémère" and turned out to be a temporary wooden structure on the Champ-de-Mars. Nevertheless, the ambience was solemn and sublime and the bidders were even allowed to sit at tables while the auction's showpieces were displayed in the spotlight on the "catwalk".
