Summary

A Ferrari 275 GTB, which was also on offer, had already found a new owner prior to the auction. This article analyzes the results, lists all the highest bids and sales prices and shows many of the vehicles in pictures.

Preview (beginning of the article)
Visitors to the Bonhams Auction at the Goodwood Revival on September 10, 2016 were certainly conflicted. Should they really miss out on watching the exciting races between sports car prototypes and pre-war monoposti and attend the auction? The weather might have made some people decide not to watch the races, as it was raining and the temperature in the Bonhams tent was certainly more pleasant. The auction began at two o'clock local time and ran for around four hours. In the end, the Bonhams managers recorded a sales quota of 63% (for the cars and airplanes) and total sales of around 13 million pounds (EUR 15.3 million, CHF 16.7 million).
