Bonhams at Goodwood 2012 - Record prices for Bentley and Rolls-Royce

The most expensive British car in auction history The highest bidder paid just over five million pounds (including taxes/surcharges) for the 4 1/2 liter 1929 Blower Bentley, which once belonged to Sir Henry Tim Birkin and raised the lap record on the outer Brooklands circuit to 137 miles per hour.
