Bonhams Aston Martin auction 2019 - little enthusiasm for younger Astons
Summary
On May 19, 2019, Bonhams auctioned 32 Aston Martin and Lagonda cars and a David Brown tractor worth almost £7.5 million at the Wormsley Estate in west London. In addition, there was a considerable collection of photographs and other automobilia, which must make the heart of every Aston fan beat faster. While the demand for the automobilia was quite pleasing, the cars met with more resistance from the bidders. Nevertheless, an Aston Martin DB5 and a DB4 Convertible were sold above their estimated values. This auction report analyzes the results and shows the cars in pictures.

Bonhams' Aston Martin auction has been a tradition for several years now. This year, it no longer took place at Aston Martin but at the Wormsley Estate in West London. This noble estate is known for its cricket field and impressive library, among other things, and is located around 40 miles outside the capital. The main items on offer were, of course, Aston Martin cars, a David Brown tractor and a Lagonda convertible. Two of the items were certainly restoration objects, but most of the vehicles were in beautiful condition. The total value of the 33 vehicles was estimated at around £ 7.5 million (EUR 8.5 million, CHF 9.6 million), which meant that each lot was expected to fetch around £ 226,000 (EUR 258,000, CHF 290,000).
