At first glance, you think you have an MG TF in front of you. Then you realize that there must be something wrong with the wide-spoke wheels, the windscreen with wind deflectors and the headrests. The solution to the riddle: it's a Brazilian Avallone. After the AC Cobra and the various open Porsche 356s, the post-war MGs are probably the most imitated collector's cars. There was also the MP Lafer from Brazil, which represented the MG TD, but was merely built on a VW Beetle platform frame and therefore had an air-cooled rear engine. The most perfect replica was the Naylor TF 1700, built in England from 1984.
