Preview (beginning of the article)
On November 24, 2015, another Auctionata online auction took place following the tried and tested pattern. Once again, interested parties were able to bid on site in Berlin, by telephone or via the Internet. 36 cars went under the hammer, with a total value of around EUR 1.3 million (CHF 1.4 million) and an average estimate of EUR 37,000 or CHF 40,000 per car. In the stock market, people are said to be in a bullish mood when they are in a buying frenzy. There was definitely no such mood at the Auctionata auction. 44% of the vehicles were knocked down, although the majority were still subject to reservations because the minimum prices could not quite be reached. 20 cars could not be sold, certainly a disappointment for the auction house.
