In contrast to Bonhams and RM/Sotheby's, who stuck to the February date for their Paris auctions, Artcurial postponed the auction together with Rétromobile to the third week of March, in order to auction a total of 170 automobiles and around three dozen motorcycles, as well as some automobilia, over three afternoons/evenings. The cars, which covered a wide range of makes and eras, achieved a combined turnover of EUR 35 million. The most expensive was a works Porsche 907, followed by four newer Ferraris and a Gordini once driven by Fangio. There were surprises primarily among the cheaper cars.
