Summary
This year's six-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps was all about the "Sound of History". Almost 80 legendary vehicles - from the Ford GT40 and Jaguar E-Type to the small Ginetta G4R - made for a thrilling spectacle. Numerous safety car phases, technical failures and the petrol station roulette turned the race into a real thriller. In the end, Martin Stretton triumphed for the fifth time, while the Danish Ginetta trio won the hearts of the fans with a sensational second place.

As the organizer's motto for the entire race weekend was "Sound of History", the numerous races in the various classes in the run-up to the endurance race can certainly be described - without being disrespectful - as supporting acts. The six-hour main race then followed on Saturday afternoon, when the stars took to the stage of the Circuit Spa-Francorchamps. The "instruments" playing this Sound of History were as diverse as they were impressive: 14 Ford GT40s, 14 Lotuses, 7 Jaguar E-Types, plus numerous Shelby Cobras, MGs and Austin Healeys as well as a few soloists such as a Ginetta G4R, a TVR Griffith, a Marcos 1800 GT, an Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA and two real heavyweights - a Ford Galaxie and a Ford Falcon. The starting field comprised a total of 78 vehicles.
