Shalom - about the grandiose chaos at the first car race in Israel
Summary
In 1970, the first major car race was organized in Israel, which had just turned 25 years old. Formula 2 and Formula Vee cars were to compete in the "Grand Prix of Israel", and a Formula 1 race was even planned for the following years. But things turned out differently. Although many Formula cars arrived with their drivers and crews, the only real race had to be stopped prematurely and this was just one of the many mishaps of an adventurous weekend. Once again, Rainer Braun recounts a special, little-known but all the more entertaining episode from the history of motor racing. And, as always, there are some wonderful pictures to go with it.
