When Peter Pentell bought an ordinary 1992 Lancia Delta Evolution in 2001, nobody could have guessed that this car would become a beast that would one day race at Goodwood. Over the years, Pentell continued to rebuild the car, adding parts and replacing what he could. Our article takes a look at the history of this unique car and shows some pictures of it.

When Peter Pentell bought a completely normal 1992 Lancia Delta Evolution in 2001, nobody could have guessed that this car would become a beast, as it initially led a normal life as an everyday vehicle. It wasn't until 2011 that Peter Pentell started the brute force conversion with a saw. The chassis was tackled, partially cut up, broken down to its skeleton and meticulously fitted with new pieces of metal - an unusual way to modify a historic vehicle, but nevertheless interesting from our point of view. At some point during the conversion work, Pentell suddenly realized that he had made a mistake in his thinking. Shock absorbers would have been extremely useful! He had simply forgotten to plan space for them. The problem was finally solved by installing a set of adjustable racing shock absorbers in the vehicle.
