Last Sunday, public roads between Bern's Westside and Frauenkappelen were closed for the second Grand Prix Suisse Berne Memorial. Around 10,000 visitors spent a hot August Sunday next to the race track and enjoyed the diverse starting field. While the racing cars built between 1924 and 1996 thundered along the country roads, historic airplanes circled in the air. Our report almost summarizes impressions and impressions and a separate picture gallery was compiled for each vehicle field (see left under "Recommended articles"). A success - from the weather to the experience factor! Enthusiasts and curious visitors were already to be found in the golden rays of the early morning sun, and the weather promised to remain very sunny. At the entrance to Bern's Westside, a modern shopping center near Bern Brünnen, was the paddock for category F, racing cars from 1945 to 1971.
