The weather was unrecognizable. Just a week earlier, many classic car meetings had literally fallen through, but on May 10, 2015, the sun was shining and the most beautiful spring colors provided a truly festive setting for the first edition of the Dolder Classics in 2015.

Huge crowd
And they came, the classic car drivers from near and far. There were so many of them that a long queue formed in front of the entrance to the Dolderbad and one or two classic car owners turned their cars around without having achieved anything. Shortly after 10:00 a.m., the entire area was filled with old cars, and further vehicles could only be admitted if a visitor left the meeting.
Quite colorful
As always, the "parking lot" on the disused Dolder ice rink, which will soon have to be renovated and is therefore a critical planning factor for the popular meeting, was filled with a wide range of historic vehicles.

There was an Opel Kadett B next to a pre-war limousine, a yellow De Tomaso Vallelunga between an MG TC and an Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT. Colors, vehicle types, brands and vintages were a colorful mix.
Lots to talk about
After the long winter, there was of course also plenty for visitors to see and talk about. People met up with old acquaintances and caught up on the latest news. Whether it was price developments for classic cars, registration problems or technical difficulties, a topic for a chat was quickly found.
And Mother's Day
The fact that it coincided with Mother's Day meant that there was a constant change on the concrete square, as one or two drivers had other commitments and were therefore unable to stay on the Dolder as long as they might have done on other occasions. But this gave other drivers the chance to show off their beautiful old cars among the others.

The easiest way to find out what else there was to see is to take a look at the picture gallery accompanying this report.
