You don't necessarily need to know which cars have all passed through his hands to understand that Bernhard Rüst is a fan of British vehicles. Whether AC, Connaught, Marcos, Lotus, Triumph or TVR, it is primarily British cars that have found a home in his collection. And so it is understandable that he had to save the Rover 2000 TC, which has a rather unique history, when he discovered it. In the mid-fifties, the British car manufacturer Rover realized that it had to break new ground if it wanted to survive as an independent company. Customers were changing and becoming more demanding. Although Rover enjoyed good sales success with the Land Rover off-road vehicle and the traditionally designed and constructed passenger cars were still selling well to customers, not least because of the excellent reputation for quality and reliability, the company could by no means rest on its laurels.
