Car customization was very popular in the 1980s; discerning sports car customers did not want an off-the-peg car. Companies such as Rinspeed offered a high degree of customization and often also vehicle versions that were not available from the manufacturer. With the Rinspeed Porsche 969 Turbo, Frank M. Rinderknecht even succeeded in creating a small "series", as twelve of these coupés with flanks reminiscent of the Testarossa were produced. This report tells the story of the Rinspeed Porsche and shows it in current and historical pictures.
