No completely new models, further development: 204 became 304 with 1300 ccm (exactly 1288 ccm) instead of 1130 ccm, 65 hp instead of 55 hp, center shift. The 204 continued to be built as a saloon, the coupé and convertible were converted entirely to 304. Headlights on the coupé/convertible with halogen dipped and main beam headlights, new tail lights. Dashboard as on the 304 saloon, unfortunately - we haven't met anyone at Peugeot who likes the too small, low-set speedometer with the poorly legible digits; round instruments are due with the next model change, probably as early as the Paris Motor Show in October. The previous round instruments were better and also looked better. But the 304 dashboard has overall advantages for interior safety.
