With the Maserati 3200 GT, the Modenese sports car manufacturer broke new ground, at least in terms of style, and laid the foundations for the decades to come. Powered by the Maserati V8 engine from the Biturbo era, it was the last pure-bred Maserati of the modern era, depending on your point of view. The history of Maserati can be divided into different periods. In the beginning, the brand was associated with motor racing and produced very sporty cars. In 1957, however, the company changed direction and became one of the leading Granturismo suppliers with the 3500 GT, which was able to achieve considerable production figures.
