Initially, only four-cylinder engines were installed, but from 1968 six cylinders were also available and the Marcos 3 Litre became a fast sports car that could also compete with Porsche and co. The version with the Ford V6 engine was only built for just over a year and while the first cars were still equipped with the famous Marcos wooden chassis, the later models were given a tubular steel frame.
