The 2 Litre Tourer even competed successfully at Le Mans and excelled with its advanced technical characteristics. Ninety years later, it still looks very sporty and leaves many a younger car behind. Today, many people only know "Lagonda" as a type designation for Aston Martin vehicles, but before the Second World War, Lagonda was one of the most famous and renowned car manufacturers of all. Lagonda cars were something special, the designs were more advanced and different than those of the competition. You can tell immediately from the steering wheel of a 14/60 HP 2 liter tourer that you are sitting in a special car: the accelerator is positioned in the middle between the clutch and brake, first gear on the right at the front, fourth gear on the left at the rear. Shifting is done with the right hand, although the steering wheel is also on the right. For the modern driver, this takes some getting used to.
