Ford X-100 - the patent office on wheels
Summary
In the 1950s, the X-100 served Ford as a kind of mobile test laboratory. Over 50 technical innovations were installed in the car. An aerodynamic design ensured that its future orientation was visible. What's more, the X-100 was not just a stationary concept car, it was also completely roadworthy and could travel at speeds of up to 160 km/h. This article describes the influential concept car and shows it in some historical illustrations.

Ford has no intention of selling the car, but created it as a "laboratory on wheels" to test more than 50 technical innovations.
