A Ford Cortina GT Coupé never existed ex works, but Stirling Moss inspired Ford, Ogle and Radford to build just such a car for him. A small series was planned, but two of these Ford Cortina Ogle GT Coupés were built. Different times, different demands, one is tempted to say. It's hard to imagine Sebastian Vettel or, more appropriately, Lewis Hamilton imagining his dream car as a modified Ford Focus or Volkswagen Golf. Almost 60 years ago, however, Grand Prix racing driver Stirling Moss motivated three companies to build a very special Ford Cortina GT for him. The result was certainly something special. Stirling Moss was probably still in the middle of his racing career when he shared his ideas of his personal dream car with David Ogle, who ran his own car company and had become famous with the Ogle SX1000, among other things, at the beginning of the 1960s.
