Ferrari sports cars are linked to the bodies and designs of Pininfarina like the early Volkswagen with the rear engine. But before Enzo Ferrari and Pinin Farina met halfway between Tunin and Maranello in the early 1950s to agree on a long-lasting partnership, Carrozzeria Touring and Vignale in particular, but also Ghia and Stabilimenti Farina, built Ferrari's coupé and spider bodies, while Enzo Ferrari concentrated on the design of ever-improving chassis and engines. The chassis of the Ferrari 212 Inter was a direct descendant of the 195 Inter. From 1951 to 1953, it was produced over 80 times and delivered with an engine that had now been enlarged to 2562.51 cm3. As with its predecessors, the 212 was produced as an "Export" for GT sport and as an "Inter" as the basis for sporty touring cars.
