Six months after delivery began, the Citroën CX is no longer a rarity on German roads. Nevertheless, it still attracts an unusual amount of attention. At filling stations and in parking lots, it often triggers discussions; more than usual with cars in this price range, a CX driver has to answer curious questions. Is it a really modern car or just a fashionable one? We tested the CX 2200 with 112 hp as a supplement to the first test of the CX 2000 in mot 3/75. More than 3800 Citroën CXs were newly registered in Germany between January and July 1975. With better delivery rates, today's largest Citroën model (after the end of production of the DS 23 and SM) could probably have sold even better; at the middle of the year, average delivery times were still four to five months.
