The weather forecasts a few days beforehand had not boded well, but the closer Sunday came, the better it looked. And on May 17, 2026, the sun shone almost all day, so the tent at the entrance and above the restaurant would not have been necessary at all.
But it was ready anyway, it would be used for a horse event afterwards, explained a good-humoured Bernhard Taeschler, co-organizer and, as always, constantly in conversation with acquaintances and friends.
In keeping with the weather, the space between the bull stables in Zug filled up quickly on 17 May 2026 and the outdoor parking lot had to be included in the event early on. "Full house", said Taeschler, who was visibly comfortable among the many people.
In fact, there was the usual motley of vehicle types, manufacturer nations and eras that one is used to at such meetings. Whether VW Beetle or Aston Martin DB4, they all arrived and parked next to each other without any pretense.
One exception was the Renault Caravelle, which had arrived together and were lined up in a row.
There was a lot to see, including cars that are no longer seen very often. There was an early Honda Civic, for example, or a Mazda 323F (with the sleepy eyes) that has since become a classic. But rare Rolls-Royces and Lotuses also drove in.
Once again, the "offer" of Americans was large, and they were even represented by several pre-war vehicles.
If the other OSMT events - June 7, July 5, 2026, August 9, 2026, September 13, 2026 - can benefit from similarly good weather conditions, then the season is already saved.
The extensive photo gallery with almost 100 photos gives an impression of the event. As always, corrections to the captions can be added as comments.
