Summary
The Turbo version based on the Mulsanne saloon launched a success story for Bentley in 1982, which ultimately led to the fastest model in the series, the Turbo S from 1994/1995. Despite increasing performance and sporty chassis, the saloons remained suitable for everyday use and desirable. This has not changed to this day. This driving report focuses on the rare Bentley Turbo S, but covers the entire model evolution from the Mulsanne Turbo to the Turbo RT.

The AR noted: "For once, it was not an RR vehicle that took center stage on the stand of the English luxury company Rolls-Royce, but a Bentley Mulsanne, whose additional designation "Turbo" refers to the more powerful V8 engine. Rolls-Royce again does not give exact horsepower figures, but the turbocharger is said to increase performance by around 50%. According to our estimates, that would be around three hundred horsepower or the same as the Jaguar V12 with May Fireball cylinder heads."
