If there was such a thing as the founder of the high-income convertible segment, the BMW three-series convertible would be a hot candidate for this nimbus. With the open-top E30, the Bavarians created a league of its own in 1985. This was due not only to the effective advertising positioning with all kinds of stars and starlets (including Uschi Glas and C.C. Catch), but also to the fact that this model was virtually in continuous production in all the beautiful places in Germany. Whether Munich or Sylt - wherever the open threesome appeared, people were beautiful, young and successful. An image like a dream.
