The above title is often wrongly awarded. However, the BMW 2000 TI not only left many two-seaters behind on the highway, but was also able to keep up with the best sports cars on winding roads - not even wearing a tracksuit, just a well-fitting sports jacket. This historic test sheds light on the many advantages and (very) few criticisms of the fastest BMW mid-range.
