Photo Gallery «Four rings with four beats - Auto Union Audi in a historic test»
With a new name and a new engine, DKW wanted to leave the unfashionable reputation of the two-stroke era behind in 1965. The first "Audi" in 25 years was powered by a particularly high-compression four-cylinder engine from Daimler-Benz, which turned the small saloon into a progressive and nimble car.
