The film begins with an introduction to the circuit in the Sarthe and you ride along directly in a car, the camera angle chosen as if you were sticking your head out of the window sideways.
The film then shows the days before the race, how drivers and teams are still preparing, then the car inspection, discussions "à la français", the hustle and bustle in the pit lane and finally the race.
During the starting procedure, Stirling Moss is shown waiting for the starting signal, as if he had to run a 100-meter race. Then it's off! Incidentally, this sequence can be viewed in a short compilation: Click on the video on the left.
The most important facts are mentioned in the film, and there are also short sequences from the night.
