Last year, over 20,000 visitors attended the "Brazzeltag" in Speyer. This May, the Technik-Museum Speyer is once again offering a breathtaking program that is unique in this form worldwide. In addition to popular classics, the organizers also have some new features in store. One of the highlights of the technology festival is the Porsche 917 short-tail - the first Porsche to achieve overall victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Visitors to Brazzeltag can experience this and countless other extraordinary vehicles live. The event will take place on May 11 and 12, 2024, from 9 am to 6 pm. Tickets are available both on site and online.
The highlights of Brazzeltag 2024
A legend of motorsport will be on display at this year's Brazzeltag. The Porsche 917 short-tail will take to the Brazzeltour. The vehicle with an air-cooled twelve-cylinder mid-engine produced an impressive 1100 hp in its most powerful version. The Porsche 917 became immortal with the first Porsche overall victory in the 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Brazzeltag enthusiasts can experience a technical marvel with an extremely flat body in a Porsche 908/02 at the Technik-Museum Speyer. The 1969 vehicle, which impressively demonstrates Porsche's design skills, is rightly nicknamed the "flounder".
A much larger vehicle will be presented on the Brazzel course in the form of the racing truck from Mercedes-Benz Trucks Classic. Those familiar with the scene will also know the celebrity driver. The active driver Steffen Faas, who has already achieved various successes in the "Promoter's Cup", will drive the massive racing truck around the course.

Stunt shows in the Brazzelarena
Vehicles on two wheels are of course also used on Brazzeltag. The two stunt riders Adrian Guggemos and Chris Rid will perform breathtaking motorcycle stunts in the Brazzelarena. The shows will demonstrate how man and machine can function as a unit and push their limits in extraordinary ways.
Off to a new start with Area 67 and the "Wasteland Warriors"
The extensive museum grounds will be fully utilized, not least due to the abundance of program items and performances. Area 67 and Brazzel Wasteland will complete the program again this year. A Sea Lynx helicopter will be flown to Speyer especially by the German Navy and can be inspected at close range on Brazzel Day. Visitors can experience two engines, each with 5747 hp, during the engine starts of the popular Transall C160. The power of the Rolls-Royce engines can be felt on the skin and is an unforgettable experience for every technology fan. The Transall, as well as the Sea Lynx and various military vehicles, are part of Area 67.
Visitors can look forward to a unique experience when the "Wasteland Warriors", the Rostreiter and the "Megabosch Roadcrew" bring their post-apocalyptic world to life on Brazzeltag. Another highlight in this area will once again be the opportunity to test the limits of physics by taking a ride in one of the off-road crew's trial cabs.
Brutus is a must
The internationally renowned Brutus is of course a must at Brazzeltag. The experimental vehicle is based on a chassis with chain drive from 1907. A 12-cylinder BMW aircraft engine with a displacement of 47 liters was mounted on it. This unique vehicle can be seen in action on Brazzeltag. In addition to the motorized highlights, there are other attractions to see and hear at every corner of the Brazzeltag. There is also plenty of culinary delights for guests of all ages. A double-digit number of food stands will leave no wish unfulfilled, while the countless curiosities on the museum grounds can be marveled at.
The complete program and schedule will be published on www.brazzeltag.de in the run-up to the event. Arrival is possible by car, public transport and this year even by plane via the directly adjacent airfield. The local flying clubs and flying schools (PFW-Fliegergruppe, Flugsportverein Speyer e.V., Flugschule Löffler, Motorfluggemeinschaft Speyer e.V. and Flugschule Otto Funk) will also be offering sightseeing flights for anyone interested.
Further information can be found on the event website.
