The Erwin Hymer Museum will be showing how to properly prepare classic cars, caravans and motorhomes for hibernation on October 26 at "Workshop live!" in its new museum workshop.
Without appropriate precautions, long downtimes quickly lead to damage, and a nasty surprise awaits at the latest at the start of the season in spring. The old saying "You snooze, you lose" can be taken quite literally in this context. But deeply discharged batteries and tires with "flat spots" are also part of this.
Valuable tips from professionals
Proper "mothballing" is not rocket science and the time required is manageable with a little preparation. Professionals also like to combine the action with the annual inspection and the obligatory oil change - this is good for the vehicle and puts the time required into perspective once again.
At the event, all work is explained in detail and demonstrated on the vehicle. "Workshop live!" is an interactive event where participants are welcome to ask questions and take part.
Everyone can be there "live"
In addition to classic car drivers and campers, all convertible and summer car drivers who want to optimally prepare their vehicle for hibernation are of course also invited.
The event is part of the "Workshop live!" series, which takes place once a month in the new museum workshop at the Erwin Hymer Museum. Participation is free of charge and independent of a visit to the exhibition.
Further information on the event location and program can be found on the Erwin Hymer Museum website.
