In the announcement for their anniversary fair, Renate and Peter Hürlimann had already revealed that they wanted to scale back their activities as fair organizers. After all, they still have an entire automobile museum in Lömmenschwil to manage year-round.
That’s why the young partners, Pascal Müller and Josua Anderhalden, are being brought more fully into the fold—only those who are given responsibility can eventually shoulder it. The character of the trade show will remain the same, but a younger generation is set to secure its future. And only by letting go can one be certain that the show will continue to thrive.
But no one needs to worry about this year. The two traditional OLMA halls are reportedly nearly fully booked. Many exhibitors have been regulars at the fair for years—an event that always serves as something of a season finale. Numerous classic car enthusiasts are hoping for good weather; they’ll be coming to St. Gallen once again on Sunday, October 25, 2026, with their classic and youngtimers to enjoy the luxury of being able to park right at the fairgrounds in front of the halls.
The 20th Classic Car Show isn’t just a milestone anniversary—it’s also proof that the event is cherished in its current form. Here, you won’t find extravagant luxury cars for sale, but rather genuine classic cars that are still open to restoration. You can often find everything you need right at the next booth over, where almost everything is offered—from headlight bulbs to rust remover. And if you’re looking for expert advice, St. Gallen is the perfect place—here, the experts are still approachable and easy to talk to.
