The oldest classic car fair in Switzerland has been taking place since 1976 and has therefore long been a classic car itself. The OTM at Forum Fribourg is an integral part of the scene and will once again attract visitors from near and far. More than 400 exhibitors will once again be selling parts, accessories, toys, memorabilia and even entire cars on around 20,000 square meters from 21 to 22 March 2020.
Club Show
Over a dozen classic car and brand clubs will present themselves to the expected 20,000 visitors.
An extensive exhibition of military vehicles will be on display at the FAM.
Vehicles from the Mowag, Saurer, Berna, FBW and Vevey brands will be on display, as well as a Chevrolet Bel Air, an Opel Diplomat and a "carrier pigeon trailer".
On the stand of the Veteran Car Club Suisse Romand are expected: Citroën SM (50 years), Mazda RX-7 with Wankel engine (100 years Mazda), Cyclecars from Salmson and Amilcar, a Camion militaire Austin K2/Y 1941, Triumph Stag (50 years), Alfa Romeo Montreal (50 years) and 2 motorcycles.
Many clubs have registered their participation, including the Simca Suisse Club, the Auto-Union Club CH, the Matra Club Suisse, the Motorcycle Culture Foundation, the Studebaker Club Switzerland and the Triumph Stag Club.
Of course, the SHVF (Swiss Historic Vehicle Federation) will also be on site to draw attention to the World Meeting of Ducks (2 CV).
The Swiss Car Register, which draws attention to itself every year in the entrance area of the "Club Show", is presenting a special exhibition in 2020 with the vehicles of Louis Christen, perhaps better known by the abbreviation LCR.
Extensive supporting program
The varied supporting program also guarantees an entertaining visit for all guests who are not looking for parts.
As a special attraction, free tours in vintage cars will be offered through the beautiful city of Fribourg.
The OTM has an incomparable charm, and if the weather in March plays along and is spring-like, it is a good idea to travel there in your own classic car to enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside on the outward or return journey. If you arrive in a classic car that is more than 40 years old, you can park for free in the classic car parking lot.
More information can be found on the OTM Fribourg website.
