On the weekend of May 31 to June 2, the "Retro Classics meets Baroque" classic car event took place for the tenth time in the grounds of the Blooming Baroque in front of the Ludwigsburg Residential Palace.
A total of 90 mobile treasures were awarded special prizes in the individual classes. In addition, the top-class, 24-member jury headed by Prof. h.c. Dr. h.c. Peter Pfeiffer, assessed 150 registered classic cars.
Winner Mercedes Benz 220 SE from 1960 and Farman A 6 B Super Sport Torpedo from 1921
The "Best of Show" prize in the "Festival of Classic Cars" category went to a Mercedes-Benz built in 1960, type 128 Ponton SE 220, which scored the highest number of points.
The highlight of the Concours d'Élégance "Best of Show" according to FIVA guidelines was an exceptional car, a Farman A 6 B Super Sport Torpedo built in 1921 - a unique French model.
Category winners in the Concours d'Elégance were, in addition to the Farman, a Mercedes Benz Nürburg 500 from 1931, a Mercedes Benz 500 K from 1935, a Rolls Royce Wraith from 1939, a Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz from 1956, an Aston Martin DB 2/4 from 1953, a Mercedes Benz 190 SL, an Alfa Romeo 2000 S Vignale Coupé from 1958, a Mercedes Benz 280 SL from 1970 and a Volkswagen Type 11 (Spark Beetle) from 1967.

Honorary award for Matthias Gerst
Dipl. Ing. Matthias Gerst from TÜV Süd was honored with the RetroClassicCultur e. V. (RCC) and its sponsoring association's honorary award in the Marble Hall of the Residenzschloss for his special services to the preservation of historic automobiles.
Raffle of a Fiat 130 for the children
Over 12,000 euros have been raised for the World Childhood Foundation by raffling off a 1975 FIAT 130 between January 2013 and today. This sum will be used to support projects for girls and boys affected by violence, street children, children in foster care and institutions.
The FIAT 130 will soon be handed over to the lucky winner.
Good mood despite the rain

Next year, "Retro Classics meets Baroque" will take place in Ludwigsburg from June 20 to 22, 2014.
