The Retro Classics 2021 classic car fair planned for July 8 to 11, 2021 has had to be canceled with a heavy heart and after lengthy discussions.
The public order office would grant permission to hold the fair, but only on the condition that the incidence 14 days before the fair is correspondingly low and that strict regulations regarding visitor admission per day, hygiene measures and much more can be adhered to.
Simply limiting the number of visitors to 12,720 people who are allowed to be at the classic car show at the same time would be a major restriction on the typical Retro Classics feeling. Auctions and gatherings of people in "get-togethers" would also not be possible.
The postponement to a September date would also not create any added value, as the restrictions would still be too great. In a survey, exhibitors also decided against a postponement.
The decision was not easy, but it would simply not be possible to organize Retro Classics Stuttgart in 2021 with the usual quality, reliability and number of visitors, according to father and son Herrmann.
One consolation is that the next Retro Classics Stuttgart is already planned for March 17 to 20, 2022 and will take place in spring as usual.
Incidentally, Retro Classics Bavaria and EuroMotor are firmly planned as the end of the season in the 2021 calendar, so if anyone wants to get a taste of the trade fair air, there will be an opportunity there.
Further information will soon be available on the Retro Classics Stuttgart website.
