The world's largest classic car trade fair organization, Retro Messen, is coming to Cologne from 24 - 26 November as Retro Classics Cologne. This means that it now covers the whole of Germany, with other locations in Stuttgart and Nuremberg.
An exhibition area of up to 60,000 square meters will be available for the first Retro Classics Cologne from 24 to 26 November 2017 at the Cologne Exhibition Centre. Classic car fans will be able to meet numerous renowned exhibitors from all sectors. In addition to dealers, restorers and manufacturers, fans of historic vehicles and lifestyle will also find a parts market, club presentations and a vehicle sales market.
Unique and absolutely worth seeing special shows are among the highlights of the year for classic car enthusiasts. At Retro Classics Cologne, you can look forward to these presentations, among others:
Special show SK Oldtimer Collection
The SK Oldtimer Collection is presenting six of its most beautiful vehicles from its exclusive collection in a high-quality special show. These include rare pre-war vehicles such as the Horch 930V, which was produced from 1937 until the start of the Second World War, and the timelessly elegant Lancia Astura Cabriolet from 1938.
Also on display: a Hispano-Suiza H6B Torpedo from 1924. The Spanish car manufacturer Hispano-Suiza achieved great fame at this time with its luxurious vehicles and the development of aircraft engines.
History of Cologne as a car city
Nothing has been forgotten in Cologne as quickly as its own industrial history. It is not only the invention of the four-stroke engine that keeps the world moving to this day, but the city of Cologne at the turn of the century before last can also be described as the "Silicon Valley" of mobility. An incredible wealth of car brands and models have been created in Cologne since the birth of the car.
The German Vehicle Veterans Association is now presenting a small insight into the early years of Cologne for the first time. Cars, motorcycles and bicycles from the days of the German Empire, plus over 600 moving images from the rich history of Cologne's motor city on three screens. Here, members have opened their archives wide open. Take a journey back in time to the beginnings of mobility in Cologne.
