With 400 exhibitors and around 20,000 visitors, the Fribourg classic car and parts market is a must for anyone interested in classic cars. On March 22 and 23, 2014, many highlights are once again expected at Forum Fribourg.
The traditional Club Show, in Hall 4, will once again welcome beautiful and rare cars this year. The Registre Suisse Alfa Romeo, for example, will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta. In addition, a very rare Alfa Romeo 6C 2300 from 1934 - exactly 80 years old today - will be on display.
Dufaux special show
The Swiss Car Register 's special show this year is dedicated to the Geneva brand Dufaux, another highlight. Together with the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne, the Swiss Car Register will be exhibiting the famous Dufaux racing car from 1905 (8 cylinders and 12.76 liters displacement).
In a car race at Salon de Provence in the south of France, Frédéric Dufaux from Geneva set a new world speed record (156.521 km/h) with a similar Dufaux.
The Geneva brothers Charles and Frédéric Dufaux won numerous races with their in-line eight-cylinder engines. In 2009, Swiss Post congratulated the Swiss Museum of Transport on its 50th birthday with three special stamps. One of them showed this famous Dufaux racing car from 1905.
Wide range of attractions at the classic car clubs
The Oldtimer Club Bern, Auto Union-, Buick-, Citroën-, Pontiac- and Lambretta-Club are also worth a visit, to mention just six of the many car and motorcycle clubs.
Cars, spare parts and accessories
Miniatures, literature, accessories, parts and many classic cars will be exhibited over an area of 20,000 m2 and specialists in the maintenance and sale of classic cars will be looking forward to welcoming numerous visitors.
The classic car and parts market is certainly worth a visit again in 2014. It is open on Saturday from 09:00 to 18:00 and on Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00. The admission prices are still family-friendly.
