For the second time, the Oldtimer Galerie Toffen invites you to Gstaad at the end of the year to attend an auction of around 40 to 50 interesting and unusual vehicles. Last year, the snowy weather created a particularly Christmassy atmosphere. And a world record was celebrated with the Bowie-Volvo.
This gives the team around Reinhard Schmidlin the courage that 2018 could be even better.
Versatile range of vehicles planned
An exciting line-up of vehicles will once again be presented on December 29, 2018, including an Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Turismo 5 Posti from 1940, a Jaguar XK 150 S DHC from 1959, a Fiat Balilla 508 CS Coppa d'Oro from 1934 and a Bentley 3 1/2 Litre Sport Saloon Park Ward from 1934, to name just a few examples.
The neo-classics such as the Mosler MT900 from 2005 or the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 from 2012 should also be of interest.
Cars of celebrities
In the wake of the Bowie Volvo, Reinhard Schmidlin and his entourage will bring two cars from famous previous owners under the hammer: the 1966 Austin-Healey 3000 MK III, once owned by Beatles singer John Lennon, and a 1973 Mercedes-Benz 250 C Coupé that belonged to actor Richard Burton.
Across brands and genres
In general, a diverse portfolio of cars can be expected, which also has room for copycat products and replicas such as the A.S.A. AFF Tipo 61 from 1963 or the Pur Sang Bugatti 35B from 1932.
And even cheaper cars are not spurned, as the already reported 1967 Honda S800 coupé proves.
Two Lancia rarities from two neighboring eras
Mention should also be made of the Lancia Flaminia Super Sport Zagato from 1968 and the Lancia Stratos Stradale from 1975.
Only seven years separate the two cars, but in terms of their character they represent the past and future of the Lancia brand as it was a good 40 years ago.
