The newly founded CCCS (Classic Car Club Safenwil) at already has over 80 members with well over 100 vehicles. A special event is now taking place on June 8, 2013 . Members and friends of the club will have the opportunity to attend a special driving safety course in collaboration with the Driving Center Switzerland.
Each member should bring along a young passenger (son, daughter or acquaintance with a valid driving license). In this way, the older members with the "Oldtimers" can show the younger drivers "Youngtimers" on the test track in Safenwil how a vehicle can be driven without ABS, ESP, power steering and modern electronics. All exercises are carried out under the expert guidance of instructors from the Driving Center Switzerland. Vehicles built up to 1998 are permitted.
In the further program, course participants will have the opportunity to test the latest generation of vehicles (sports cars, family cars, hybrids, electric and plug-in hybrids) on the road (and thus make a comparison between the past and present) and enjoy an exciting insight into the Emil Frey Racing Team with the JAGUAR XK GT3.
Club members pay only CHF 50, co-drivers the same amount. Guests, i.e. non-club members, pay CHF 340, their guests CHF 100.
Further information can be found on the organizer's website.
