This year's fourth ADAC Deutschland Klassik will take place from July 3 to 6, 2014 through the Brandenburg metropolitan region. The start and finish is the Brandenburg Gate in Potsdam. In addition to the idyllic lake landscape on the Havel, classic car hikers can expect numerous scenic highlights, industrial culture and metropolitan flair. The tour leads through wooded areas, wide landscapes, small villages and past churches from different eras.
From castle to castle
Around Potsdam, twelve palaces with extensive park landscapes invite you to linger. For example, the parks around Sanssouci Palace, which, like large parts of the Brandenburg capital, have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990. These also include the New Garden, Babelsberg and the Scrower Heilandskirche.
The Concours d'Elégance will take place at Oranienburg Palace on July 4. All participants will exhibit their historic vehicles there and a jury of experts will award prizes to the most beautiful vehicles.
Classic car hiking and enjoyment
Deceleration, entertainment, culture and enjoyment are the cornerstones of the classic car hike and determine the course of the event. Time is not a factor, but rather the participants are allowed to solve tasks and answer questions at each stage in order to secure victory for the day.
The patron of this year's ADAC Deutschland Klassik is ADAC Sports President Hermann Tomczyk, who is also responsible for the Classics department.
